SLPS Senior Named National College Scholarship Finalist

Janya Clark Named National College Scholarship Finalist

Saint Louis Public Schools is proud to celebrate Janya Clark, a senior at Metro Academic and Classical High School, for being named a finalist for the prestigious Jack Kent Cooke Foundation College Scholarship.

Janya is one of just 60 students selected nationwide for this highly competitive recognition, which honors exceptional academic achievement, leadership, and perseverance among students with financial need.

The Cooke College Scholarship is one of the nation’s most selective and impactful undergraduate awards. It provides recipients with up to $55,000 per year to attend a four-year college or university, along with ongoing advising, career guidance, and access to a national network of high-achieving peers.

Janya’s accomplishment reflects not only her individual dedication and talent, but also the strength of the academic opportunities available across Saint Louis Public Schools. At Metro Academic and Classical High School, students are challenged through a rigorous, college-preparatory curriculum designed to prepare them for success at the highest levels.

Across SLPS, we are committed to ensuring every student has access to opportunities that open doors to college, careers, and beyond. Janya’s recognition as a national scholarship finalist is a powerful example of what our students can achieve.

We congratulate Janya on this outstanding achievement and look forward to seeing all that she accomplishes next.
